Also considering that I ended playing in this run something unexpected, Smoochum/Jynx line it's carrying the same problem as GS: you can't get Lovely Kiss if you raise a Smoochum into Jynx, a detail that was a complete mistake in Gen 2. So IDK your take on this matter but it will worth to check.

Also Chikorita is evolving into Smoochum at level 6, pretty much if you beat rival. Cyndaquil it's the only one who evolves as intended (Quilava, level 14).
