Does not correctly capture detail behind dock/panel regions

When taking screenshots in which the dock or panel are semi-opaque or not extended to screen edges, the desktop is not correctly captured:

Here, the dock is not extended, leaving transparent pixels.

Here, dock and panel are semi-opaque, and we see the "transparent pixels" displayed at the set opacity.
