I am interested in using OpenPano for panorama stitching within a mobile application developed with React Native. I have a few questions about the feasibility and requirements for running OpenPano on a mobile platform:
Cross-Platform Compatibility:
- Is OpenPano compatible with mobile platforms, specifically Android and iOS, using React Native?
- Are there any known issues or limitations with running the existing C++ code on mobile devices?
Compilation and Build Process:
- Can the existing CMake setup be adapted for building OpenPano for mobile platforms?
- Are there any additional dependencies or modifications needed to compile the code for React Native?
Integration with React Native:
- What would be the best approach to integrate OpenPano into a React Native app? Should we consider using a native module to bridge the C++ code?
- Are there specific libraries or tools that you recommend for this integration?
Performance Considerations:
- Given the memory and processing requirements mentioned in the documentation, are there optimizations or configurations that would make OpenPano more efficient on mobile devices?
- How does the performance on a typical mobile device compare to the desktop, particularly in terms of memory usage and processing time?
Future Plans:
- Are there any plans to officially support mobile platforms or React Native integration in future releases?
- Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and for developing such a powerful tool!
