A few RE3R and RE2R VR Issues

Been playing through RE3R and RE2R and had some issues in VR, decided to try to be helpful and report since this mod is awesome. Will update with more bugs as I find them.

RE3R

  1. Fire during rooftop fight with Nemesis freaks out and does some insane graphical glitch at one point in the fight.
  2. Black screen after Jill is in the train crash and it's supposed to go to Carlos at the police station. Have to disable 1st person mode and progress in flat screen.
  3. Black screen after Carlos is done at the police station and it's supposed to go back to Jill after the train crash. Have to disable 1st person mode and progress in flat screen.

Progressed through the hospital section then switched to RE2R.

RE2R

  1. Black screen after Leon leaves the gas station and it's supposed to go to the opening video. Have to disable 1st person mode and progress in flat screen.
  2. Flickering lights when walking in some areas of the police station lobby.

TBD...

On pd-upscaler branch commit 0dcf061 although I don't really know if any of these issues exist on previous versions since I haven't played on older versions. Only using pd-upscaler branch for the TAA and don't have any of the upscalers installed.

  • HTC Vive with Valve Index Controllers on OpenVR

Have you downgraded re3 in beta to dx11? Also you get much better performance, deleting openvr in mod and better picture using virtual desktop's vdxr instead of steam as it gives 10% performance increase.

No performance issues here. Not going to switch to OpenXR/VDXR as these are mainly meant for non HTC/Valve headsets and will likely see a performance decrease over OpenVR on HTC Vive.
