v1.89 looks blurry: How to set autoscaleDPI to true?

Opened this issue ยท 6 comments

I just installed the v1.89 on my new HighDPI monitor with 125% font size increasement.

The gadget looks blurry (the only one in my collection of 8GadgetPack Tools):

In the FAQ of 8GadgetPack Tools I found the entry:

Some gadgets look blurry, especially on screens with high resolutions. How to fix this?
Most gadgets that are included with 8GadgetPack should not have this issue (because I adjusted them). Some gadgets however do not automatically scale with the DPI settings, and are automatically scaled by 8GadgetPack. You can try to fix those gadgets yourself if you know JavaScript (google for <autoscaleDPI>true</autoscaleDPI> and look into the code of gadgets that support high dpi).

Could please someone tell me, where exactly (file? Position?) I have to add this mentioned
<autoscaleDPI>true</autoscaleDPI>

Or do you have any other ideas how to get this very useful gadget more clear/sharp?

Hi! Thanks for the note. Let me investigate and see if we can get this cleaned up!

Looks like it goes in gadget.xml. I just pushed a change. Will make a new build or if you somehow can test it yourself, that would be great!

Thanks for your instructions.
Unfortunately, I does not seems to work yet, especially not for the date above the clock time:

T1

Thanks for letting me know. I will try and debug soon!

Hi Preston, will version 1.90 also appear as a gadget on https://prestonhunt.com/story/110?
Thanks in advance.

I posted 1.90 to prestonhunt.com.
I am still looking for a solution to the blurry text.
