Share the Steps to Reproduce the Bug

It happens randomly, but certain things will guarantee it. Things like moving around in settings or browsing plugins will cause it to happen very badly. (Specifically the "appearance" tab will usually cause it)

20240802-0205-56.3675809.mp4

The screen will flicker and either buttons or previews will stop appearing or they will continuously flash.

Additional Info

The instructions say to copy and paste debug info, which I did. It should be noted though that I am running Windows 11 Home, not Win10.

hey there! can you try to check if and see if you have Hardware Acceleration turned on? (please try turning it off and on again if it already is)

you can find this under the Appearance tab > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration.

Afterwards, restart your Obsidian.

this seem to be a common issue but the cause is unsure right now. for now let me know if the above works for you.

Thanks for the quick reply @ceciliamay! I tried that and unfortunately it made it a bit worse, causing my actual note files to start glitching out and hiding text. However I noticed something else. I have two monitors, one plugged into my 3060 ti (4k) and another plugged into the integrated graphics (1080p). I played around with it with the window on the 1080p monitor and couldn't get the glitching or the note-text disappearing to happen. However, it happened nonstop when the window was up on my main monitor (the 4k one). Is it a possibility that the Primary theme has some sort of bug that makes it run badly on Nvidia cards? Or am I pushing it too far trying to run it at such a high resolution?

Hey guys, I was having the same problem as you and it was something to do with my iCloud. My local vault was connected to my iCloud and apparently iCloud keeps moving the .obsidian to the cloud, witch breaks Obsidian. I marked the option "Keep Downloaded" and it fixed for me!

Glad to see there's a fix for it on mac, but unfortunately, I'm on a windows pc :/.
