Internal IP's

Hi as we use some strange internal IP ranges eg 1.0.0.0/X
Would it be possible for it not to error out when scanning External IP ranges internally ? or to add a switch to scan a Public IP range
internally?
As this is a great tool it would be a shame to restrict it to generic private IP ranges.
