License of the sources

I cannot find a license file or license information with the source files, only in https://github.com/ptitSeb/f1spirit/blob/master/debian/copyright it says GPL, but doesn't specify a version of GPL. Would it be possible to add a more explicit license information.
I also wonder what the license of the assets is?
