VLC media player malfunctions at fractional scaling in full screen mode

Hello
I am using arch linux with kernel 5.9.13
When I use fractional scaling and play videos on vlc, the screen goes black when I enter fullscreen and the cursor moves. As long as the cursor is not moving and the panel is not visible the video plays, but whenever the panel appears (on cursor movement) the screen goes black. The audio still plays and the video comes back on when the panel auto-hides.
I tried this with scaling from 100% to 200% with 25% difference. It only happens when it is fractional (No issues on 100 or 200%). This also only happens in the full screen mode.
Kindly let me know if you need any other details. Thanks!
Hi there, thanks for reporting the issue!
It seems the Ubuntu team is aware of the issue and already working on it.

You may want to try the Disable unredirect fullscreen windows extension to see if it helps in this case.
@puxplaying thank you, the extension help to a certain extent but has issues with OpenGL Vulcan applications. I think we have to wait for the Ubuntu dev team to come up with a patch.
