India has a very chaotic road scenario and full autonomy in transportation still looks like a far fetched dream practically. The talk aims to discuss how close we are to developing these autonomous sub-modules building up as ADAS and the ongoing research in the field.

The talk revolves around a brief introduction of various directions the research is currently headed including:

  1. Discussion of the Indian road scenario (interactive)
  2. What is ADAS?
  3. Vehicle to Vehicle collision avoidance systems for intersections and overtaking
  4. Vision-based Neural approaches for Vehicle to Pedestrian Collision Avoidance Systems and their limitations (the major focus of the talk)
