I've seen reports on IRC (#weechat-otr) that at least one OTRv1 implementation appears to be functional with a recent POTR implementation, when the OTRv1 impl. initiates the session.

This shouldn't be the case as it has been disabled in the codebase.

  1. try to reproduce (fetch said implementation?)
  2. see how it's possible
  3. make sure it can't happen anymore

Yeah, that should be deleted if possible..

This is the moment when I hate myself for not citing the name if the implementation by name.

I'll try to find anything that still compiles/works and offers a full otrv1 only implentation.

TBH, there might be some, but it shouldn't be supported..
