Quantum SeeFood

Abstract

If you have watched silicon valley, you would have come across the SeeFood fracas which made Jian Yang a 'very rich man'. If you haven't essentially, the SeeFood app classifies hot dogs and not hot dogs. For this project, we want to adapt this computer vision algorithm to quantum computers to classify hot dogs and not hot dogs

Description

To achieve this goal practically, we need to find a way to encode highly dimensional image data to the limited qubit registers available. Subsequently, we need to find an appropriate quantum machine learning algorithm and training algorithm that can be feasibly trained given the time constraints. The final output is essentially a binary classifier. The system will likely involve a combination of quantum and classical approaches.

Probably @rraymondhp would be a good couch for this project!

I would be interested in joining this!

@kmatt10 tell me how to locate you. I'm wearing a black t-shirt with code on it and I am wearing a hairband.

I'm in a Maroon shirt sitting on the right side 6th row

Hi, I'm Binh. Can I join you? Thank you

what if I am not good at deep learning?

@nguyenbinhchem you can learn along the way :D

@JSeam2 Does the description of the project reflect the final version? If not, can you please update it so that other people can have better ideas about what you have done? The README in your project repo is great! Thank you.

Yes it reflects what was being done
