file sharing on 10.0.0.7

in tutorial videos, it's said: in sending Email to victim behind of the link, it must be included 10.0.0.7/somefileshare/demo.png
it's my question that in my remote Ubuntu server how manner I should make it
and should I really put the file on the server or only including the IP of the remote server is enough?
