Bug description
When clicking the QS menubar icon (Sonoma, M1/ARM), I no longer see the popup menu. However, the keyboard input has now been captured by QS, so any keypresses result in a Mac OS "bell" warning, and no text appearing. The only way I've found to exit this is to hold cmd Q
to quit QS. It's also possible to cmd ,
into the QS settings.
It can be resolved by unchecking: Include access to all menu items from menu bar
, and restarting QS.
This happens for me on two different M1 macs, both running Sonoma.
Steps to reproduce
- Start QS with
Show icon in menu bar
andInclude access to all menu items from menu bar
both checked - click the menubar icon (left or right click)
- (Note the absence of a popup menu on click)
- try using the keyboard
Expected behavior
- Popup menu (
About Quicksilver
;Donate...
;Guide...
; etc.) should appear on clicking the menubar icon - Keyboard should then still be usable when entering text in applications other than QS
