Section 1: We suggest rewording this sentence to avoid awkward phrasing. In particular, "than is the case" seems out of place. Does the suggested text change the original meaning of the sentence?

Original:

   Encryption of most transport-layer control
   signaling means that less information is visible to the network than
   is the case with TCP.

Perhaps:
Encryption of most transport-layer control
signaling means that less information is visible to the network in
comparison to TCP.
