better-localized-fields: plans going forward?

Hey @r1tsuu, I know you are busy, but could you give us a brief update on the plans for your plugins?
I really need better localized fields, and I'm wondering if I should concentrate on getting this plugin to run with the latest beta, or if I should wait around because you're gonna update it anyway, or if there is even something coming in native Palyoad (here's a discussion on it payloadcms/payload#4200).
