Translation of "login"

Hi,

"login" is translated as "Benutzername", which means "user name". While that might be correct in some parts of the app, it is obviously wrong as the label for the login button, because now it doesn't have the command-like caption "Login", but "Username". That is very confusing for users. We might need two different values, one for the login button caption and one for the login term that means "user name".

Is this still true? If yes, it must be https://github.com/radiant/radiant-german_language_pack-extension/blob/master/config/locales/de.yml#L2355 and we should change it. Has anybody running it and can verify that it is currently wrong?
I think it's still wrong. We have already an entry "username: Benutzername", so "login: Benutzername" should be wrong...

I assume it should be:

login (verb): anmelden
username (noun): Benutzername

The verb should be used to indicate actions, wheras the noun labels a value. Any comments?

I think login is the caption of a button, so we should translate it as "Anmelden" or better as "Einloggen", since "Anmelden" is more likely to be understood as "register".

"Einloggen" isn't actually a word, but "Anmelden" is. So it should be:

English German Meaning
sign up registrieren create a new user account, choose a username and password
log in anmelden Authenticate as a given user using username and password
