Not sure if this is an issue on my part. I am assuming it is. Would you have a solution to solve this issue? Or point me to someone that has had this issue before. If not fixable, it is still worth it. Saves me so much time and I really love it. Thank you.

Check this SO post. In our case, the assets folder is not accessible until runtime, and that's why we aren't able to preview the component on the visual editor.
