pdfbox2-layout not working with PDFBox 2.0.19

Not surprised to find a potential version issue as this repository seems a little stale, but repo is quite valuable as an open source library for PDF creation. Thank you.
That said, I tried to use it with the latest PDFBox 2.0.19 just released on 2020-01-23 and was getting an exception with the fontbox-2.0.19.jar (in particular: org.apache.fontbox.type1.DamagedFontException).
From my tests, all version of PDFBox through 2.0.18 were OK (at least for the issue above).
Maybe we should all start looking at the code and help @ralfstuckert out!
