[Taskbar Background Helper] Broken by Windows light/dark themes, multiple monitors

gdude2002 opened this issue · 2 comments

I use Auto Dark Mode, which automatically toggles my system between light and dark mode based on the time of day (or the sunlight cycle). When using Taskbar Background Helper, I've noticed an issue.

Basically, when the system switches between light/dark mode via Auto Dark Mode, the taskbar background (for screens with maximised windows) is set to the system's accent colour. This only seems to happen when the background style is set to Color. Resizing and then maximising the current window fixes this problem temporarily, but only on the primary display. It also doesn't seem to work correctly at all on my other displays - in my case, always assuming that a window is maximised there.

By the way, it'd be nice if there were two custom colour options, one each for light/dark mode.

The mod's log output doesn't seem to contain any relevant information at all, but I'm happy to grab it if needed regardless.

Thanks for the feedback.

Fixed in version 1.0.1.

Not sure why, but I made some improvements in 1.0.1. Please let me know if it helped.

Added in version 1.0.1.

I can confirm that everything works properly now, including multiple displays, light/dark mode switching, and the new light/dark colour modes.

Fantastic work - thanks a lot!
