images: consume and present "familiar" image names

We should present and consume "familiar/friendly" names for images for all operations, a.k.a. alpine:edge on the frontend becomes docker.io/library/alpine:edge on the backend and similarly rancher/kim:possible on the frontend becomes docker.io/rancher/kim:possible on the backend.
