Bug: Whitelist and blacklist not always work for PWA

sky96111 opened this issue · 2 comments

browser: Windows Chrome 117.0.5938.63
extension: 0.5.0

bug site: https://hoppscotch.io/

extension setting:
whitelist mode: bilibili.com
spoof UA: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/118.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Step:

  1. Install https://hoppscotch.io/ as PWA app
  2. Set UA to Mac OS
  3. Make https://hoppscotch.io/ in UA spoof blacklist list, or whitelist live blank

Problem
In url mode https://hoppscotch.io/ shows correct Windows icon, but launch hoppscotch as PWA app it always shows MacOS icon.

Seems blacklist or whitelist doesnot work for PWA app.
This bug disappeared as this extension disabled

emmm... I succeed in some attempts. Seems whitelist and blacklist not always work for PWA but sometimes do

I've found a way to trigger the bug 100%.
When there is no chrome.exe process in front or background, launching hoppscotch PWA directly make whitelist and blacklist work.

If Chrome is already started then launch hoppscotch. UserAgent-Switcher will always spoof PWA UA
