When I start the app, I get a black screen that says
Unable to find and mount data drive
Press A to exit...

I solved my own issue! The distribution of wii7800 I was using was from https://oscwii.org/library/app/WII7800 and was missing the wii7800 folder at the root (which was present in the download from this github.) I've opened an issue with OpenShopChannel to update their distribution: OpenShopChannel/outdated-apps#43
