[FFXIII-2] Shadows and Alpha channel generated mesh

This is an bug with the shadow rendering for 13-2. the game does not consider the alpha texture generated mesh when casting shadows. Instead the actual non detailed mesh's shadows are cast and this produces some weird looking shadows in the game. I have attached images of how the shadows look on the Xbox 360 version as well as the PC version. I feel the images should explain things better than my write up.

Notice how the palm tree leaves are not considered at all when shadowed. The shadow resolution settings doesn't change anything or rectify the issue in any way.

One modder had gone through the game files suspecting that the shadow's alpha texture files might be screwed up in some form thereby causing this bugged out shadows. but they found no problems with the files which made them suspect that the issue might be elsewhere.

Would it be possible for you to look into this issue ?

Any update on this? :( is it impossible to fix, or just really difficult?
