  • Think about which legend components we want to make

  • Categorical colour scale

  • Diverging colour scale

  • Continuous colour scale

  • Options for setting minimum/mid/max, etc

  • Pass in d3 scales?

  • Absolutely position the div: options for placing it top-left above chart or directly on top of the chart in some blank space
