Make it available on the Chrome Web Store

It think it's too "raw" for the web store for now. Especially the configs, since they would be static, since there no way yet for the user to configure it without having to change the source.
The defaults seem pretty sensible IMO (except perhaps debug=true
). I think apart from the required refresh, it works pretty nicely out of the box and wouldn't say it's too raw for the web store at all. And in any case you can release new versions with improved functionality (e.g. preferences tweaking) in the future.
It's your call, but do think about it. It's way more convenient than cloning, making and manually installing it. This is a great tool, and shouldn't be restricted to geek types ;)
The default is debug=false
, that's an error in the readme.
When I have more time I will consider it ๐
Yeah, I noticed the commit removing debug=true
(e30853d) after writing the previous comment, but was lazy to update it :P
Btw, why don't you fix the readme then? It's a quick fix, you can even do it online ;)
I kinda forgot about it, but it's fixed now.
Add my voice for wanting this to appear in the Chrome store (and a precompiled Safari version too). I'd love to be able to point my university class at this, but they're not sophisticated enough to compile on their own.
I have been using youtube's native speed option for a while now. I believe it is only present in the html5 mode. Doesn't that cover the needs addressed by this extension?
Is this now viable with the release of v2?
It's now available on the Chrome Web Store.
Yeah! Just tested it, works perfectly so far :D
