I believe I have the most recent editions of Xtracks and Ytracks, but I wonder if I installed them correctly for ORTS.

Welcome to New Forest Route.. The route is self-contained, and should have all track sections needed in the down load.
This is a standard error message and x and y tracks are not required.
The route uses the UKFS system, with some custom shapes and a custom t section. Make sure you have the route separate from any other ORTS installation, and the global and t section present as downloaded.
If the problem persists please email me the log.txt file from your desktop to the address rickloader at hotmail . com

Thanks again Rick. I now have the route working, and It's very impressive. The intricate "yard" trackage must have involved a huge effort. Of course, so far there isn't a whole lot of forest or aquatic reptiles, but I note that you are going to add more scenery (if not reptiles). I`m glad you now have the Route working, and that you like it.
Regarding the route names. The original V1 of 2006 was just the New Forest area. Someone else was building Weymouth- Bournemouth, so Southampton and Dorchester was beyond expectations. However, the S&D had 2 unkind nicknames from the indirect route. The Corkscrew and the Watersnake. I chose "Watersnake" as the working title because I was scared a white space might make for problems in file names. If you go to Brockenhurst you will see the New Forest, although as well as trees there is a lot of heath.
