Hi,

I followed these instructions at
http://www.webupd8.org/2014/02/get-unity-global-menu-hud-support-for.html,
which are:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danjaredg/jayatana
sudo sed -i 's/trusty/saucy/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/danjaredg-jayatana-*.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install jayatana

And worked fine in 14.04.

Thank you very much for jayatana. It's an amazing work!

  • Changed state: Started
On 14.04 the menus now integrate nicely with the global menu bar. But recently,
the HUD stopped working and menu entries aren't available through that any
more. I wasn't paying attention to see if there has been an update to jayatana
recently that could have caused that.

@jarlathreidy, I tested here now (I'm using the jayatana-test) with Rubymine.

As the last jayatana update ran while I was using Rubymine, I restarted it.
It's working fine here. Only before the IDE restart, some menu entries were not
displayed at HUD.

Now, all fine.

Additional note: I'm using Oracle 7 JDK.

Wow, this is an amazing news!

@danjaredg, should now I remove the jayatana-test PPA and switch back to stable
PPA?
