I have the vision of providing users the ability to reset a forgotten password and/or retrieve their user certificate and VPN config. I'm afraid of web things, which seems like the best option, but other solutions can be brainstormed. If you're feeling ambitious, you can think of a way to authorize user account creations (such as having an rit.edu email or something like that) and actually creating them a user account (calling PowerShell or an API endpoint).
