Is there a chance we could get Lua updated to 5.2?

Well the thing holding it back is all the modules. This project did not build the modules, it only put all the pre-compiled binaries together in a distribution. There has been an effort to make the list of modules smaller and able to be compiled by LuaDist, but it is not ready for public use.
