Blender 3.6 is set to release on June 28, 2023 and at this moment it is too early for us to begin extensively testing this version. We will start looking further into official Blender 3.6 support shortly after Blender 3.5 releases on March 29, 2023.

Blender 3.6 Release Notes

At this moment, there are no known compatibility issues specific to Blender 3.6 between FLIP Fluids 1.6.1 and the latest Blender 3.6 Alpha (2023-02-21 23:45, hash: 8b6396623682).

Warnings may be displayed in the Blender System Console, but should not impact functionality. These warnings will be fixed in a new FLIP Fluids addon release shortly before the Blender 3.5 release.

We have discovered an issue in Blender 3.6 (May 08, 13:10:29 f6b492c43dbd) that has minor affects of the FLIP Fluids addon and have reported this issue on the Blender issue tracker here: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/107759

This issue prevents operators that run continuously (modal timer operators) from being launched upon loading a blend file. In the FLIP Fluids addon this includes features such as the debug visualizations (grid/particles/forcefields) and parts of the "Auto-load baked frames" feature.

The effect that this issue has is that if a Blend file is saved with these features enabled, the features will not have an effect when re-loading the Blend file. For example, if a file is saved with Debug Grid Visualization enabled, this visualization will not be displayed when opening again. The workaround is that the option needs to be toggled on/off again.

The above issue has now been fixed by the Blender developers and the fix has been verified in the latest build of Blender 3.6 (May 15, 02:42:23 1ad4f67d7802).
