Half of Book Downloaded

Closed this issue · 8 comments

Forgive me, I am new to Libation and not too terribly tech-literate. I tried to download "The Way of Kings: The Stormlight Archive, Book 1" by Brandon Sanderson. It is 45 hours and 30 minutes long. I liberated the book, downloaded the MP3 file, and received 21 hours, 30 minutes, and 28 seconds of audio (21:30:28).

Is there a setting option I should change? Is the book itself too long? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Weird; that shouldn't happen. Can you attach your log file?

Is this what you are asking for? I just went to log and hit the copy button:

In settings, there's a button for "Open log folder". Plz click that and drag/drop the latest log file into this ticket. You'll have to use github.com's website; it doesn't handle attachments well via email.

What player are you using? I re-downloaded my copy in m4b and as mp3. How does your mp3 file compare?

VLC media player shows 45h 30m for both

.m4b is 1.21 GB

.mp3 is 1.41 GB

my mp3 settings were

  • Target: Quality
  • check: Downsample stereo to mono
  • Quality: V2

I was just using Windows media player before downloading the file to my .mp3 player. When I looked at the properties, it also showed the .mp3 being 1.41 GB. Do you think that it is just my Windows media player being a goof?

Also, I have the same .mp3 settings as yours

I went ahead and downloaded the file, it was the full 45 hours and 30 minutes. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for the follow up. I'm glad it's working for you now.
