Unable to change database file
Closed this issue · 5 comments
I'm unsure if it's a me problem but I can't change the database file so the application doesn't open if I don't have my original external drive I started with hooked up to my computer.
I have changed the settings to the device I want to use but it still seems to be connected to the original.

Sorry, I don't follow. What changed exactly?
I was trying to use a different external hard drive than the one I originally made the location to put the completed files to. I changed my selection in both the options available in the settings but it seems to still require the original hard drive to open the app. When I open the launch hangover it seems to be still connected to my original choice. I tried to delete the application and reinstall but it seems everything was saved, so I couldn't start fresh.
@witchyvietcatlady The "Books Location" folder is just the folder where Libation saves all downloaded audiobooks and PDFs. There are two files you can delete to give you a "fresh start".
Delete ~/Library/Application Support/Libation/LibationContext.db.
Restart Libation and there will be no Books until you scan your account. When you scan your account(s), all of your books will be added to the Libation grid in the "Not Downloaded" state. However, all of your application settings will be preserved.
If you want to reset all of Libations applications settings to default (including the "Books Location" setting, delete ~/Library/Application Support/Libation/Settings.json.

I used this option and it worked for me! Thank you so much. I am not that tech savvy to know to delete that to change settings, but it was easy nonetheless once instructions were given. <3
@witchyvietcatlady Great! Glad it worked for you.
