PLEASE FILL OUT THE FOLLOWING. Bug reports with limited information or lacking an attached log file may get limited or delayed help.

Error message produced for the following three titles and prohibition of liberation to those purchased books. First occurred after downloading and installing version 12.5.3, so I rolled back to 12.5.0.1 with same result.

Steps to reproduce the behavior - reproduced issue for three different titles:

  1. Go to Libation Libraries (2)
  2. Clicked on Red Signal Light to Liberate title
  3. Titles populate to the right side of the screen in process log
  4. Before titles finish being liberated, error pops up and title then has large red X where signal position usually populates
  5. All three titles now show large red X - no signal

Expected behavior
Normal liberation process ending with green signal light and files appearing in proper file location on hard drive.

Similar error given for Ticket #: 1267 - could not reproduce error message. Big Red X is not responding to clicks.

Platform
Windows 11

@MdmRptr Sorry about this. Much thanks for your log file.

@Mbucari I'm not even sure what this means:

System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void LibationFileManager.FilePathCache.Insert(System.String, System.String)

The method is clearly in the code and it doesn't even seem to call anything exotic. You recently refactored this piece but I don't see anywhere for such and error to happen and I can't repro. Thoughts?

@rmcrackan I've seen his before, and I think it indicates an environment problem. I think LibationFileManager got updated, but FileLiberator did not.

When I refactored FilePathCache, I changed the insert method signature from

public static void Insert(string id, string path)

to

public static void Insert(string id, params string[] paths)

The log says the signature it can't find is 'Void LibationFileManager.FilePathCache.Insert(System.String, System.String)', indicating that it's looking for the old method signature.

I think OP should delete all Libation program files and download a fresh copy from the releases page.

Understood. Will give that a try.

Well, now I cannot get Libation to be seen by either Windows Uninstall feature nor Revo Uninstaller.

I can open the program but can't get it to be seen by my Win11 system nor a third party software to uninstall it.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@MdmRptr We don't provide an installer, so there's no "uninstall", per se.

Just delete everything in the Libation program files folder, then download and extract a fresh copy into that same folder.

@MdmRptr does that ๐Ÿ‘ mean it's working again for you?

I apologize for the vagueness. That initially meant that I understood the direction and would give it a try.

Now it means that it seems to have worked at least to the extent that the books are not longer showing the large red X. I haven't yet attempts to liberate them due to time constraints.

I should be able to try today and can report back after I make the attempted Liberation.

The deletion and reinstall seems to have worked for the vast majority of my titles. There were 2-3 errors for some titles but I'm not worried about them at this point.

A different issue with this new install is that I see some of my titles have, in the "Liberate" column, a red signal but that square is greyed out and I cannot click on it to Liberate the titles. This is true for 32 of my titles.

@MdmRptr are any of those titles you own, or are they all plus titles? Libation will gray them out if they were were unavailable during the last library scan. Check if you can play them on audible's website.

That looks to be the case with these titles - that they were Plus titles that are no longer available.

BTW - that's a HUGE selling reason to use Libation and archive those titles before they go away.

Thanks for your help with this issue. The deletion and reinstall seems to have solved the issue.

Thanks for following up. I'm glad you're sorted.
