Category: Broken Link
Version: 5.4
Platform: Xubuntu 12.04 / Tomcat 7

Description

In the Hints for Stage 1 of the AJAX Security -> LAB: Client Side Filtering
there is a broken link.

The link has the WebGoat directory in all lower case letters. This does not
follow the recommended naming convention in the install README. As a result
this link refers to a non existant directory 'webgoat'.

The Hint in question reads:
Hint: Stage 1: You can access the server directly here to see what results are
being returned

Steps To Reproduce
1. Install WebGoat making sure the webapp directory in tomcat has the
capitalization shown in the install docs, i.e. WebGoat, not webgoat

2. Navigate to WebGoat start page, login, press Start WebGoat button

3. Select AJAX Security -> LAB: Client Side Filtering

4. Scroll through the hints until reaching the hint that reads:
Hint: Stage 1: You can access the server directly here to see what results are
being returned

5. The word 'here' in the hint is a hyperlink to:
http://localhost:8080/webgoat/lessons/Ajax/clientSideFiltering.jsp?userId=102

6. Note the directory 'webgoat' in the URL does not follow the capitalization
recommended in the WebGoat install documentation. As a result this link is
broken if users followed the recommend naming convention during install.
