Scan site before deploying

How do I scan a hidden service that has not yet been deployed? (Meaning it's not yet connected to TOR network)

Locally the service is running on port 3385 (viewable in the browser from this port). I have tried calling

./onionscan localhost:3385

but it gives error:

ERROR: Unknown hidden service type: localhost:3385
