Hi @sagikazarmark
I am an open source enthusiast and I am looking to expand my work portfolio.
I would like to collaborate with your project for free, I can provide you with a logo for your project

Good day
Skull C.

Hey @candyskull920 ,

That's a very generous offer, thank you very much.

Actually I was just about to rename this project to something more fancy and I plan to make it more than just a boilerplate: I would like to make this repository a collection of best practices of a modern application (written in Go), so I was thinking modern-go-application as the name.

May I ask you how you found this project (just for curiosity)?

Also, it's not particularly famous (yet ๐Ÿ˜„ ), so I don't know if it's worthy enough for your portfolio.

In any case, I'm open to any kind of collaboration. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Regards,
Mark

Hi @sagikazarmark
I really found this project looking randomly and I think it's important enough.
Give me the exact name and tell me specifically about what your project is about so that the logo is as accurate as possible.

Well, in that case: I renamed the project to Modern Go Application (modern-go-application). (We are talking about web applications, APIs, etc running on the server side)

It serves two purposes:

  • It is a boilerplate for new projects. Creating a new project from it is as easy as cloning this repository.
  • It tries to collect the best practices of developing a (modern) application using the Go programming language. It also tries to provide a friendly developer experience.

Not sure if you are familiar with the Go programming language. If not, you can find some information about it (and it's mascot and official branding) following these links:

https://golang.org/
https://blog.golang.org/gopher
https://blog.golang.org/go-brand

When it comes to logo design I like simple shapes, so that the logo is easy to remember and I like "modern" design, I really don't know to describe it. ๐Ÿ˜„

Is this enough information?

Before going any further and before you draw a single pixel, I think a few things should be discussed. I am really grateful for your contribution and I hope it's going to beneficial for the both of us, but it's better to see clear what the deal is here. ๐Ÿ˜Š

First things first: how is this going to expand your work portfolio? Are you going to link to my project? If so, in what form and where? Your github user is just a few days old, and I can't link you to any other public profile or website on the internet.

Secondly: what attribution do you expect in return? Mention in the readme? Are you going to contribute your work to the project and transfer copyrights or are you going to license it to me in some form? (It is important so that I know if and how I can publish it on the internet)

Are you going to provide the vector graphic files for later editing/resizing?

Apologies if my questions make me seem ungrateful, but based on personal experience I take these kind of collaborations very seriously.

Hi @sagikazarmark
I appreciate your questions the only thing I hope is that the logo as a minimum is used in the readme I do not expect any recognition, with the fact of participating in its' project helps me polish my skills as a designer.
Once the pull requests are done, I will leave you a link of a drive where you will see different variations of the logo, both in size and color and obviously the editable file of it.

Good day
Skull C.

@candyskull920 that sounds reasonable.

I'm happy to place a link to your profile or website as well.
