Pavucontrol is using PulseAudio's API while pwvucontrol is using PipeWire's and WirePlumber's.

I have only pipewire installed and pavucontrol gives the same options and it is said that it works with pipewire. Not sure if due to pipewire-pulse.

Pavucontrol does not handle Pulse streams correctly, which ends up resulting in big issues on my system.

That alone may be a good enough reason to prefer Pwvu for some.

Yeah, I am no longer using pavu, it's replaced with this tool.

I noticed this buggy behavior before without knowing the reason.
