Some times I need elevate credentials of my Visual Studio process up to Admin. In this case my preferred compose key stops to work.
Version info: Windows 10, Wincompose 0.9.4, Visual Studio 16.7.5

How do you run WinCompose? In theory the installer creates a scheduled task with elevated privileges and should handle this situation. Do you use that default method or do you launch WinCompose through other means?

I install my instance of WinCompose by executing downloaded file
*WinCompose-Setup-0.9.4.exe.* I not remember preferred options during
installation
I add WinCompose icon to Start menu. I can see it in system tray
It's another surprise — I select my Compose Key every time after reboot
because settings does not stored

Hi, I know this is a bit late, but could you maybe tell me if more recent versions of WinCompose (such as 0.9.8) are properly launched with elevated privileges?

Hi!
This is never late to do good things such as WinCompose.
*No(*
Definitely no one key sequence works if application run as Administrator.
At least two applications tested. This is exactly about version 0.9.8.
*But:*
I run WinCompose as Administrator and have no problems with any applications

Thank you for your attention
