As a team lead (Danni) I would like to investigate the possibility of integrating customer retention e.g. destroy sample / return sample

Location data is imperative for this and the process is currently done through Sequencescape. It might be more useful for this to be in traction if the location tracking is fleshed out.

retention instructions mandatory field in manifests.

Only on stock plates or stock tubes.

NT or SQPP.

Import retention instructions from Sequencescape where available. Change to the reception import.

View retention instructions on the samples. Created at labware level in Sequencescape but sample level in traction.

Add historical data where available. Need a date of when it was introduced. January 2023.

Research story - Create report of retention instructions. Have look at the one that exists for short read. CSV download. Enter a location.

Lifespan. Stop you destroying stuff that is less than 2 years old. Prefer to use date imported because that is when the sample starts being used.

Retention instructions not stored in warehouse.

SSRs can update retention instructions.

Research - For situations where retention instructions are updated for particular tissue types can we flag it?
