Formatting of linked note for Mac/iOS no longer working

Opened this issue · 2 comments

This was working perfectly until recently (?after Mac update on Sonoma, but not sure). I use this on both a MB Air and Mac Studio, and it happens on both.

If I OPT-RETURN on a note in Alfred, instead of getting the nicely formatted Note Title name (and iOS link also), I now get a single link such as applenotes://note/E9CBB68F-3D79-4553-BD20-E691AD909387.

This link DOES work, but obviously much better with the Title name instead. I have tested this multiple times, restarted Macs, toggled Alfred full disk access off/ on.

Fill out this information if it's not already included in the error text.

  • macOS version: Problem was with 14.4.1, but just upgraded to 14.5 and still a problem.
  • CPU: M2
  • Alfred version: 5.5
  • Workflow version: 3.6.2
  • In System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy, there are checkmarks for Accessibility > Alfred 4, Full Disk Access > Alfred 4, Automation > Alfred 4 > Notes, and Automation > Alfred 4 > System Events?
  • What type of account are your notes stored in (iCloud/On My Mac/Email)? iCloud
  • If the workflow can't manage to show a list of your notes, verify that the search_notes executable file is present by right-clicking the "Search Notes" workflow in the workflow list of Alfred Preferences, choosing "Open in Finder" and opening the search_notes folder. Is there a file of the same name inside that folder?
  • If no error notification appears automatically, what is the output of the debug log when you reproduce the problem?

NOTE: I had to delete most of the debug, as it was too long (>65k allowed characters). Any questions, I'm at epetrack@mindspring.com.-Thanks, Emory

Ah, sorry if this broke your workflow. This was an intentional change in version 3.6. It could be a switch in the next version if you were a fan.

I removed the log output from your comment in case there was anything private in there.
