rfishbase 4.0 Compatability

Closed this issue · 2 comments

rfishbase just released a new version that significantly changes how they handle data. They try to maintain backwards compatability, but moving to their new data retrieval method should be done and will be included in either dieter 1.1.3 or 1.1.4.

Should be mentioned, a feature update and bug fix to the Electivity function has been pushed to CRAN. If accepted, this will be in 1.1.4. which given the CRAN holiday shutdown will not be pushed out until 2022.

I have tested the package since the latest rfishbase 4.0 update and it looks like everyhting is ok. dietr 1.1.3 is now live on CRAN with a minor bug fix. The next version of dietr will be either 1.1.4 or 1.2 depending on new feature additions.
