Quasar search stopped working on both my Windows 10 PC and Android Kodi Box at the same time

Expected Behavior

Quasar should display list of TV show/Movie names to pick from after search

Current Behavior

Quasar times out and gives error 'Quasar timed out'

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

  1. Load up Quasar
  2. Go into Movies Section
  3. Click Search
  4. Search for a movie
  5. The search tries for ages before timing out

Context

The issue is that when I try and search or choose a menu item (like 'highest rated') in either of the categories (movies or tv shows), it appears to load for ages before timing out and giving the error 'Quasar timed out'. However when i use the search on the very front page, this also doesn't work like it should. Instead of listing the possible shows and movies to choose from, it feeds straight into Burst and shows me a list of completely unrelated torrents instead. In basic terms, Quasar Burst works fine but the actual Quasar app is having problems listing the names of movies and TV shows to choose from.

Your Environment

  • Environment name and version:
    Quasar 0.9.78 Running on Kodi 17 Krypton. Have tried re-installs and also downgrading version and same problem persists on 0.9.77 also so it seems like a connection to the movie list server problem or similar.

  • Operating System and version:
    Same problem on Windows 10 Pro and WeOS 3.2 (Android Marchmallow 6 Clone).
