"Eigenface Facial Recognition" by Alice Roberts and Kristen Bystrom
Closed this issue · 0 comments
Description
In this workshop participants will learn about human facial recognition and use MATLAB to
explore which faces in a database are similar to theirs. We will introduce EigenFaces and the
mathematics used to compute facial similarity including principal component analysis and
singular value decomposition.
Requirements
This workshop will use MATLAB. Installation of MATLAB is required but participants with no
knowledge of the language may still be able to follow if they are familiar with other
programming languages. Participants will also need to bring a smart phone with a camera.
Anyone with an SFU account should be allowed to register for a Mathworks account associated with Matlab, the link will allow them to sign in online
