Can't enable SOAP for PHP 7.2 (scotch-box-pro version)

Opened this issue · 6 comments

Hi, thank you for Scotch-box-pro, it's awsome :)

Unfortunately, no matter what I try I can't install the soap module for PHP 7.2.

I can install php-7.1-soap only (with apt).

I've added ppa:ondrej repo but it doesn't contain the package either.
What can I do? I don't want to upgrade the whole OS to bionic.

Same here :)

Same here...

I'm having the same issue. Did anyone manage to sort out pls?

I believe that this may be related to #414 as scotch-box-pro is using Ubuntu 17.10, which is EOL. I believe that the apt commands are failing due to this.

Unfortunately I had to change to Homestead. When I paid for the scotch-box-pro I believed it will be maintained/updated but it's getting more and more outdated and useless as the time goes.

Just switch to Homestead it taken like 3 hours only.

That's fair. We plan on trying to create a custom box using the steps in the pro docs to update to Ubuntu 18.04, PHP 7.3 and install the soap libraries. We'll see how it goes.
