Overlapping pins look weird

When two markers overlap, the background shapes of the pins overlap and then the labels overlap separately on top of the background shape. So, it looks a bit weird. Any ideas how I could get around this?
You can see how the bus icon and the flag icon are overlapping.
I have the same issue. Did you figure out anything to get it to look cleaner?
No, I just let it be.

I am having this issue, too. From the inspector, I can see that the pins are in a layer that is z-index: 1, and the labels are separate layer that is z-index: 4. I don't think these can be resolved since they are in completely different and overlapping containers. I like this icon set but unless the z-index issue can be fixed, I can't use it for my application.

Any work around for this yet? Everything works brilliantly except for this issue. Have a map with a high density of markers and when zoomed out it looks terrible.
+!
Same issue here.. this is quite a deal breaker for an otherwise pretty cool library
any update for this issue?
