Deploy CIV freezes

I'm trying to deploy the CIV file to SD2PSX. I found the value online and created the CIV.BIN file as described in the tutorial: https://sd2psx.net/deploy-civ.html#prepare-civ-bin

But when I hit "Deploy CIV.bin" the device freezes and I have to re-plug the USB cable to restart the device.

Any ideas? I'm using the nightly firmware.

Found the issue. I had to switch to PS2 mode prior to deploying the CIV.
