It'd be great to have MacFuse (and all it's components) in Fink or DarwinPorts.

I'm actually looking into the viability of writing a MacPorts Portfile for this
right now.
The biggest issue I can see is when deactivating - if the kernel extension is
loaded, I'm not sure what to do. I
may have to patch MacPorts to allow ports to run code pre-deactivate so it
could attempt to unload the kernel
extension or fail if it's in use.

Duplicate? Duplicate of what? This was the second issue, and the first one is
unrelated (binary package installer !
= MacPorts package management system Portfile)

I, too, would like to see MacFuse made available though MacPorts. Wouldn't
consider this a Duplicate.

Ok, last night I committed support to MacPorts. The rsync server should be
updated sometime today to reflect
this.
