Game wont load unless theater

i downloaded the files and put them in this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2
yet i have downloaded, un/reinstalled twice and yet it still isnt booting up unless its theater mode. ive also added the string of text for the boot up options. im using quest 2, AMD rysen 7 7700, rtx 3060ti, with 32 gb of ddr5 ram. could someone help with what the hell is happening?

I set the left4dead2 exe file as admin and in compatibility mode - had to do so with portal 2 as well. Otherwise it would crash at launch. Just in case You are still looking for a solution.
