Hi.
Is this project still maintained? Could you upload it to PyPI? What's the compatibility with the newest celery
, django-celery
and django
packages?
Thanks, Alen
Honestly I'm not sure what to do with this project. I don't use it currently so have no reason to add to it. If others are interested I could put it on pypi but I'd like for it to have better docs and tests before then.
Makes sense. I do have some use for it right now and there has been good
additions on the forks. How do you feel about a pull request with the
additions + tests and then putting it on PyPI?
Well your answer outlines that already. Let's see what happens next week.
Right, it happened earlier. Just posting here to put in a reference to the pull request #5
I'd be happy to adopt the project as I'm using it for a project (heavily patched).
@jezdez it means a lot that you are willing to step up and take over. I added you as a collaborator. If you want to officially take over I'm not sure how to make that happen. I hope to have a use for this in the future. Let me know if i can do anything in the mean time.
@seanbrant Yeah, I've usually had more success in maintaing a project with full ownership. That said, I'd obviously review the code from @flashingpumpkin first and get a release out of the door. I have much experience testing async file storages (from celery-haystack and depot.io), so extending the tests would be my primary goal.
I have transfered ownership of this project to @jezdez. From now on please use https://github.com/jezdez/django-queued-storage as the canonical source.
Thanks again @jezdez I owe you a beer next time your in Chicago!
